Thiruvanchikulam Mahadeva Temple Kodungallur is one of the oldest and most revered Shiva temples in Kerala, located near Kodungallur in Thrissur district. The temple also houses an unusually high number of sub-deities, reflecting its rich and layered devotional history.

Architecturally, the temple features a namaskara mandapam with sixteen pillars standing before the sanctum sanctorum, along with striking mural paintings that have been preserved over centuries. Recognised as a protected monument, it stands as a testament to Kerala's temple-building traditions and its connection to the erstwhile Chera capital of Mahodayapuram, which was once built around this very site.
